Its high revving over bored 1800 which needs more than the small mk1 rad and fan, any recommendations?

Cheers

Standard rads more than up to the task of removing heat and dumping it unless youre forced induction.

Thats whats on there now but it really doesnt like the hot weather, had a few days in the 18's last week and it was getting and staying very hot. The fan only comes on when its really hot! could i fit an override to the fan to assist?

What's "hot" and "very hot" for you? Do you have an oil temperature gauge? Is your radiator new(ish), or clogged? How clean are the coolant pipes, thermostat, water pump etc? What coolant are you running (as little antifreeze as possible will make it cool better)?

Fit a lower temp thermostat and a lower temp fan switch. Should sort it out. Altenatively fit an aluminium rad like this (or similar). Got mine from these and is great quality although I got it about ?25 cheaper…

Yeah, that price does seem high (at ?78.50), I remember buying a new one for mine, for less than ?50 (from a local motor factor).
