mk1 g60

evening all i have major problems i have smoke coming out of my rocker cover and an extreme amount of pressure the car has ran ok like this not sure how long for isnt using water or oil have done a compression test just turning engine over number 1 is 4 bar number 234 are 9 bar any ideas what it could be would it still drive ok if the head gasket was gone many thanks matt
