mk1 dizzy question

hi can anyone help i need a new dizzy for my mk1 1.8 8v gti 1983 plate .the numbers on mine are 026905205 A and the one im looking at is a 055 905 205P will this fit or do the numbers have to be the same cheers guy

026 895 205A is the VW code. ETKA is showing 055 905 205P as the Bosch number for that distribitor :wink:

no 055 905 205P is still a vw number

055 905 205P is the wrong dizzy for your car, its listed for JB,GH and FR.

you need a 1.8 k-jet dizzy from any mk1, mk2, scirocco or cabby 1.8 engine code DX or EV
