Mixed up Pipes 86 GTI

After replacing head, im not sure which pipe goes where, to the valve on the o/s strut, one pipe is from manafold, other from rocker,getting a lot of air noise so i need to confirm i have them on correct position top or bottom.

Pic is of a late cabriolet although most hoses are the same , your car will have a small dip stick , this is the later type .
