Lumpy - warm up valve

Hello,

Had issues with my cab ever since i bought her.
runs rough most if not all the time and burns rich so much so i find it hard driving with the roof down.
Recent change of the filler neck as it did have a hole it so thats done.

Decided to disconnect the warm up valve and it runs like a dream now, only problem i have is it idles at 1500rpm.
Does this mean its deffo the warm up valve thats at fault?

I had similar problems to mine.
Check your fuel pressure. When the wiring to the WUR is disconected, the fuel pressure wont go so high that it actually set to. (Since the pressure is supposed to get higher as the engine gets heated up). So, I guess your engine gets too much fuel…

I found this guide very helpful :)

The Bad Habit Rabbit - Volkswagen Rabbit Page - Fuel Pressure Gauge

Hope this helps! :)

Ended up being a timing issue. Also has fast road cam fitted which in turn gives slight lumpy idle. Runs peeeeerfect again :)
