I have an issue with the three outlet hose that goes between the waterpump, oil cooler a metal aux pipe that runs around the front of the engine. It leaks, to a greater or lesser degree (like a drip if left overnight/few hours at a time).
I have:
Fitted a new genuine pump
Fitted a new (Febi) oil cooler
Tried three hoses (all from VWH)
Using genuine Coolant
Genuine thermostat
Genuine Pressure cap (Blue)
The only conclusion that I've reached is that the pipes must be pants.
I've tried:
Loosening the clips
Having the clips cringingly tight
Smaller clips
Bigger clips
New clips
Old clips
Has anybody else had this? Its a tiny drip and TBH probably doesn't matter; but its become a battle of wills Cheers, Lee.

On my mk1 16v I used the std late 16v coolant hose setup and used a T piece pulled out of a MK3 automatic to add the heater matrix bypass back into the system. few options available to you anyway
