kr 1.8 16v timing marks can any1 hep

need help if any1 can advise me as i dont hav a manual
i bought a kr block and bought a kr head both seperate items
the block hasent got tne flywheelor crankshaft pully  bolted on so i dont know were the timing marks are i now werr the cams are timed up with the 2 dots and the camshaft pully arrow inline onrocker cover
does it need to be tdc on the no1 cylinder if so i can put a timing mark on can any1 help? thanks for your time mal

Somewhere on the internet…….there's a Haynes manual for Mk2 Golf. It has a section on the 16V and clearly explains the timing marks. Of course, its copyrighted, etc etc and a PDF of the manual is well dodgy so you could go to a shop and buy one if you feel too immoral to download it.
