It Lives!!!

After a alot of electric work the car is finally turning over and running for around 5 secs then cutting out. I bought the car and was informed that the petrol pump was broken so hoping this will be the problem.

I have taken the filter off and turned the igination on and fuel came out however the main pump makes a lot of noise and seems and its way out but not sure how fast the fuel should come out?

So i have taken the main pump off and turned the key to see if the lifter pump works and it does with no noises at all. However when i put 12volts onto the main pump they is some suction however not a lot.

As this is the first injection engine i have played with would you think it is the main pump that is causing the problem? It does not sound right when I turn the key so am hoping it is just a bit lost with fuel still coming through?
