is my gfi over heating

hi everyone. This may be a soft question but the water temp on my gfi cab is sitting close to the mark on the far right. Does this mean it's overheating or is this normal? I've also noticed a leak from the engine's coolant inlet, not a big one but noticeble. Could this be related? Fan kicks in when i'm stationary so I don't think that's the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like it's getting very hot. What's the MFA saying? Mine never goes above 104c, shouldn't go much higher really.

If I were you I'd sort the leak, flush the coolant and refill with the correct mixture ratio and see how she goes.

If you can check the temp difference between the top rad hose and the bottom one, a good 10c is ideal to show it's cooling properly.

Lastly check the pump pushing water back tonthe expanion tank at a nice steady pace.

cheers tian. I've flushed the system and the leak appears to have stopped. think there might have been someair in the system. it's still running hot though and the pump to the expansion tank isn't constant, more of a stop start motion. Does this sound like the pump's on it's way?

Make sure you check it while revving the engine to at least 2000rpm. Should be a steady stream of water - if it spits then that is air bubbles being released from the system. Might get this for 5 mins or so but should eventually stop.
