Injector inserts in head, removal.
Ive popped my fuel injectors out of my head but managed to break one of the plastic inserts that are in the head. How do i remove them and can i buy new ones?

Yeh, it's large odd sized allen key. The ones in mine were metal. managed to get then out with some plyers. Got new plastics ones from VW.

i take it you removed the brass seats and the plastic ends are stuck in the head?
If so i put a long bolt through the injector hole then put a washer and nut on the end from the inlet hole and levered them up, if you dont put the washer and nut on they break, well one of mine did

also they have a gasket on when they go back in which disitergrates over time thats whats holding them in

Hi. Just replaced all 4 of mine, got them from VW, under ?3 each. They unscrew using a large allen key. Be aware, there are 2 different types of insert, long & short. Mine were short ones as per the diagram given on the computer in the VW garage, but when they ordered, (according to my engine number - DX code), the long ones arrived! They had to order older ones.
