Injector insert

Just taking out my injector inserts at lunchtime, 3 came out no problem but the hex on the 4th one stripped. I was planning knocking it out piece by piece with a chisel after work but any other suggestions welcome

I remember doing mine last year, they were a real pain. And the head wasn't even on the car!  So I wouldn't try chiselling it out, they don't break that easily if I recall.  The thread on them is very fine and you will be there for ages  :?

In the end I went to Halfords and bought a 12mm gearbox allen socket,  (NOT a 12mm allen key, they cost twice as much! ) and used that as it was a very close fit and it may even get your last one out if it is not too far gone.

If not I would leave it in if there is no real reason for removing it

I used a hacksaw blade and made lots of cuts down the inside and it broke out no problem. There wasn't a problem with it but as the head was off anyway and it is getting a full rebuild i thought i would just change them anyway…
