im getting dissy over my dissy

hi bascially im swaping the sezied engine to a good engine tomorw, but the engine ive bought has had its compleate dissy removed, whats the best way to put my dissy of the seized engine on the new 1.6 lump?

should i get both to TDC then swap the dissy or whats best???

Top dead center is not quite good enough.  You could still be 180? off on the dizzy.  There should be a little mark on the cam pulley that you can line up with the edge of the head.  If you can't find that, just pull the oil cap off, and get the cams lined up about the same, then you can swap the dizzy and just keep the rotor pointed the same way.

You might have to adjust the position of the oil pump drive to match on both cars (down in the bottom of the hole you put the dizzy in), if applicable.
