Idle Stabilisation Valve.

Right have a late Gti Cabriolet how do I go about cleaning the Stabilisation valve which from what I can gather on here is situated on the drivers side suspension mount.

If it's this one you mean (on the turret, not where the arrow is pointing):



……….I've disconnected it and blocked off the hoses……..the only thing it does is keeps revs up when you have all your lights on, boom box etc powered up………….no noticeable difference when disconnected (on mine).

This reminds me, I must clean that turret - tons of dirty waxoil covering the paint that flaked off !!!!!!

That would be the one, so don't bother trying to clean just disconnect the bloody thing what about where the pipes go to block off all thoses holes as well.

Now I really don't know what to do.

I cut mine back as far as I could, then rammed a big bolt in them !!
