i have a starting porblem, can anyone help

have had few problems, first the fuel pump seemed to be sticking but after inspection found that there was a blockage in the fuel accumulator hose so it was sucking from a blockage ! problem solved, now have fuel up to the distribution block as flow line is presssurised when loosened and there is fuel in return which also flows when loosened ! there doesnt however seem to be fuel to in jector lines ? have a good strong spark and engine turns over well but will not fire which i presume is lack of fuel
is it possible that the air flow meter is stopping the distribution valve from opening correctly, will adjustment resolve this ? can anyone help
apologies if i am using incorrect terminology, very basic understanding of the system i'm afraid ??????

Ther's some basic adjustments you can do. Check the air flap can move freely, and that it sits centralised and at the bottom of the cone. You say its a starting issue - does it run okay once started? If not, then it might be worth playing with the mixture, or doing an injector test, or something further like fuel pressure tests to give even more info etc.

thanks for the reply fella, just had the car, hasnt actually run at all yet, trying a process of elimination at present and this is where i am at, if you turn the engine over you get nothing as such, if you leave it for a minute or two the firstfirst turn of the key it tries to fire but then just goes back to turning over !

If you can get them out….injector test.

If you can't, fuel pressure test.

there doesnt seem to be fuel in the injecter supply lines from the metering head if thet makes sense, should these not be pressurised with fuel ?

The injector test will determine this. Is there still no fuel flow out of the injectors, if the metering head's air flap is raised by hand?

the air flap in the metering head should be flush with the narrowest point in the cone, like so:
