You can get Quantam leads at VW - they are fine too. Think they're about ?26ish :dontknow: cant remember.
Don't get the ones from Eurocarparts for about ?17, they only last just over a year before the rubber cracks/perishes and they brake down electrically.
Its worth spending out a bit in the first place instead of paying twice!

GSF also sell dodgy ?17 ones made by Beru. Had excatly the same problem as Ross. Leads hardened up and failed after about 14 months . Paid ?26 for OEM spec set from local parts factor.

Hi,
I'm also in the market for a set of HT leads for my 1.8GTi (DX). My local Halfords no longer stock the Bosch parts.
Can anyone confirm that the GSF part for the decent quality items is "92630A IGNITION LEAD SET-BQ G1 1.5 - 1.8 >7/83 23.50"
Just want to make sure as they don't list any others on their website but there is mention of a good and bad set from GSF in this thread.
Cheers!

Not sure mate. You might be better off going VW as at least you know they should be good. I just had a problem with another set of leads on my sportline. They looked new too, but didn't have a make on them.
You could call them and ask the make. Someone mentioned Hella? would have thought they should be ok if they are?
