help with my mk1 golf 1.6 e reg

hey ppl ive put a new distributor cap on my golf like a tit i didnt mark it all up so now it wont start can any1 tell the right way or have pics thanks ppl.

any1 please

I guess you've fitted the dizzy cap correctly and located the inner lug in its slot ? Looking from above your we'll call the sockets nearer your gearbox the top ones and the two nearer your slam panel the bottom ones.  

Okay, working from left to right on the block…

Plug no1 lead into the top right socket of your dizzy
Plug no2 lead into the top left socket of your dizzy
Plug no3 lead into the bottom right of your dizzy
Plug no4 lead into the bottom left of your dizzy

Don't forget the one to the coil.

That should do it.
