HELP ! what is this?

This piece is broken, and really disrupts the smooth running, cant find out what it is, and ive been through the whole damn namual !!
PLEASE HELP

its a pipe that goes to the mpg indicator , just blank it if its broke with some sealant or something , yip this def would make it run rough as well

It might not go to the mpg indicator, it can also go to the WUR depending on what car it is.  It's 1 or the other tho, a quick fix is to block it off and you will have smooth running again.

MK2 golf one fits, but you might struggle to get the hard plastic pipe to come off and fit the new one. cut the old one off and give it some heat that might make it flexible enough to push on.

or just use a combo of rubber hoses to get it all on there, once fitted start the car to make sure the hoses dont collapse.
