Help - Car not starting!

Car has been parked outside overnight facing upwards on my drive which is on a slope. I know i am low on fuel but started it this morning and as soon as it fired up, it died again. I have put a gallon in and it still has the same symptoms. Lack of fuel? Hopefully nothing worse. Can anyone please advise me? :(

Can you get it down on to the flat somewhere? 

I can't see how steep it's angle but it might make a big difference with only one gallon and a bit.

Sounds like it fired up on the 5th injector and then died.

Common if no fuel or possibly stuck metering head flap or control needle within.

Don't run the tank dry or it will suck up all sorts of dirt and cr*p, the K-jet does not like running out of fuel so best to fill up when getting near the red or even better the 1/4 tank mark.

Do you hear the fuel pump running or relay clicking?

Thanks for all your input.
My mechanic pulled it onto the flat and cleared the fuel lines. It started Ok and apparently is running fine (MOT today :))
Fingers crossed no damage done
