head trouble

after months of trouble i,ve finaly found out whats wrong wiv my car
as some of you know i,ve put a mk2 head on it  :?  
and the compression is………… 270 psi  ops:  i was told it should be
between 110 and 150 is this right ?? if it is i,m looking for a dx head
i got 1 here but it needs loads of work and will cost over ?150 to fix
so i,m on the look out for a head or complete engine  :cry:

Is the high compression due to the head being skimmed beyond limits do you think. Or too many times.

I want to use an EV head on my mk1 as a stage 2 flowed head because it has the bigger inlet valves, may have to rethink now..
