Head Removal.

The haynes manual does not do a good job explaning this…

what is the correct parts removal-order list for getting the head off?

Gave up... could not get the manifold or exhaust off without a lift.

its easy peesy.....take the exhuast off from the dwn pipe un clip all water pipes that go in to the head all wires and all injuection paarts take off the cam cover slaken all the head bots off in sequence......going clock wise out the way till u get to the end ones......head comes off easy peesy.....me and my mate can take one off in 10mins.......

Nice,, next time i'll do it myself. Im used to beetles, i can take both heads off in situe with the engine in no trouble in 30mins ish, even though your not supposed to be able to do it. But i've owned a golf (first ever watercooler) for about a month now so everything is very new.

Where do you and your mate live? fancy earning some dollars?

i've had my head off more times than i can remember…very easy once you've done it a few times…am in the south west if you need help/advice
