Has anyone ever put motorbike carbs on a mk1 golf gti????

HAS ANYONE EVER PUT MOTORBIKE CARBS ON A MK1 GOLF GTI????
IVE BOUGHT SOME JUST HAVING THE INLET MANIFOLD MADEUP SO JUST WANTED
TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS EVER DONE IT??????????????

As above, there's a lot been said, and its a bit of a "hot topic" on VW internet forums. Do your own search/research to read lots, instead of maybe a biased view from little old me, for example. To start you off here's a recent thread:
