GTi Cab - starts then dies

Hi

Problem with my wifes 1986 Cab.

Been standing for a few weeks now and came to start her yesterday.

Started instantly and settled down to a nice steady idle - after about 2 mins just cut out.  Engine would turn over but not restart unless left for about an hour when it would repaet the same thing.

Tank is over 1/4 full.

Checked the cold start valve (5th injector) and thats fine

Looked for the fuel pump relay and could not find a relay with an integrated fuse - which number relay is it?

Going to replace the fuel filter and the fuel pump relay (if someone can tell me which one it is)

If these don't cure it what should I check next.

Andy wasnt a problem for me but some one suggested checking round the filler neck. For rust..
Could be water in the fuel or pulling up rust from the tank.
Try getting a big magnet and sticking it in the inspection hatch under the rear bench and seeing if it picks anything up.
Though tbh I have a horrible habit of taking either of my cars to the boys at rk and screaming help

is this just on idle? how does she drive/rev?

Can't keep her running long enough to see how she drives!!!

When I try to re-start she turns over freely, catches and then immediately dies again
