I have a Mk1 golf GTI, fuel at filter and metering head. But not reaching injectors,was running.

When was it last running, last week, last year etc…..?
Is the fuel pump running?

1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.

hi, it was running with in the last four months, ive crossed the fuel pump relay to make the pump run constantly,got petrol up to the metereing head,took a injector pipe off there is petrol but its just dripping out

It could be possible if the fuel is reaching the metering head that it's then getting blocked in the head itself, mine was all gummed up with old fuel but it had stood 14yrs.  The needle was sticking.  I just took the metering head off and sprayed it with carburettor cleaner including the chamber under the rubber cover and problem solved.

hi can anyone help please, I"ve got a hose vacuum hose just hang in my engine the end is broke off, and I don't know where it is suppose to go ,It comes off the inlet manifold breather pipe that is above the rocker cover just before a green blanking cap

image.jpeg image.jpeg If you mean the thin white/clear pipe that has a black rubber outer pipe for a few cm's that is in my fsecond picture just to the right of the green blanking cap, then it goes round the block and into the bulkhead in my first picture, goes to back of instrument panel I understand, part of the MFA MPG feed I think.

thanks to Richard I have sorted one vacuum pipe, but I have found this valve thing flowing around on top the gearbox by the clutch cable ,does anyone know what it is? what it does? where it should be connected thanks,hopefully the attachment works DSC_0060.JPG

That looks like the vacuum switch that is in the vacuum line from the distributor advance to an outlet on the back of the inlet manifold near the idle adjustment screw.
