fuel pressure regulator

hi…,,   my mate just got me a fuel pressure regulator for my cabriolet 1.8 8v webber 34-36 carb and am just wondering if anyone know where to get the vacum feed, from the regulator to……..?
i try behind the carb would work..
try on the vacum pipe from the servo to the inlet not work…
do i need to have a T connection
