Fuel Filter

Hi everyone, any advice would be appreciated. I need to change the fuel filter under-bonnet  gti k jet type. The screw in piece on the larger side is damaged and is spraying petrol but it seems that no one supplies the screw in piece with a new filter. Can i use the filter without this? or does anybody know where I can get one?

You can reinstate the old copper washers, which do not have a rubber seal, by heating them up with a blow torch or use a pair of pliers and hold them over a gas cooker then wipe them clean this makes them swell up and makes a better seal, don,t what to state the obvious but remove them from the car first and don,t refit them hot or you mite lose your eyebrows. Or you could just buy knew ones, most car shops should have them also the bolt that goes into the filter is called a Banjo bolt.
