Flushing fuel tank

could anyone tell me how and what i need to flush my fuel tank

I think the only way to do this will be to remove it from the car and swill it out with some fuel.

Yes it's a pig to remove . Haynes manual provides a great "How to" article . Best to whip the sender unit out under the rear set and peer in with a torch to see how bad it is , tank want's to be as empty as possible . You will see a filter in there , if this i covered in rust and crap a flush would be a good idea .

I always run my car's with some fuel cleaner in the tank every so often just to keep things sweet . Remember to also check the small filter at the fuel pump supply and renew the main filter at the recommended interval .
