well all I've had for the past month or two is problems with my caddy sport, it doesn't like starting when cold. it will fire up fine but the moment i go to pull off and put my foot on the accelerator it then goes onto 3 cylinders and misfires for a few minutes i have to keep the revs up then it clears and runs fine, once its warm it doesn't miss a beat, its just when cold, i changed the dizzy, leads, plugs, rotor arm and coil, that didn't do anything so i took it to a friends garage and he narrowed it down to leaking injectors so i changed all of them, and it worked for a day or two, but then started doing the same again, so i changed the cold start valve which done nothing, then i changed the metering head and it worked fine after that… well for the last 4 days and i got into it after work (car was sat for 9 hours) and it started doing the same again I've changed the warm up regulator tonight so i will see how that is in the morning, any ideas guys? any help will be appreciated as I'm really losing the love for it at the moment

How did he diagnose leaking injectors?

he told me that he left it over night, took the injectors out and inspected the cylinders and the cylinder nearest the gearbox end had about an egg cup of fuel in itpaul_c said

have a read of this, just ignore the 16v bits and concentrate on the basic kjet settings:

I've spoke to a few people and they have narrowed it down to the warm up regulator so I'm on the look out for one of them to try now

wur wouldn't cause fuel to leak into cylinders though, thats gonna be a prob with the metering head or fuel injectors

I've changed all the injectors and the metering head and it's my leaking no more, all it's doing now is its firing up fine but I have to leave it warm up for around 10 minutes before I can move because the moment I go to rev to pull off its drops onto 3 cylinders but it's fine if I keep it running for 10 minutes first

ah ok cool. prob worth checking the injector spray pattern and volume still though
trouble with kjet is without a set of pressure gauges you got to make educated guesses when they play up. the wur would deffo be on my short list with the symptoms you describe

Yeah it was in a friends garage when I put the new injectors and metering head in and he preasure tested then and it was all fine, my dad spoke to a porsche breaker today that specialises in bosch parts and he said it could be the wur, he is ringing someone tomorrow that can test them and refurb them if needed, but I don't think it will be the cheapest but if it has to get done then it will have to

Sounds like its simply not set up properly with the new injectors. I was going to write out a bunch of stuff but its been covered already, in a link:
Its unlikely its the warm up regulator.
Its unlikely you'll get it running properly without either fuel pressure gauge, exhaust analyser or both.
