Exhaust Manifold

Post

Please advise.

I'd be grateful for some info and advice. The attached image is the exhaust manifold of my EV series 1.8l engine.  What's the best way to refurbish this?  Wire brush?  Shot blast?  Or is it best left as is? I'm aiming to have as much as possible 100% mechanically and electrically reliable, rather than tarted up.
Also can anyone advise what the studs are for that are on its outer perimeter?  This engine replaced the original 1.6l in my 1982 cabby, so perhaps they are not relevant to this model.

the studs will be for the warm air feed shroud to the inlet, I'd just leave it off though it makes no difference on injection engines in the UK climate (I've not had one fitted since 2005!)

as for restoring it I would just leave it as is, but if you want it to look lovely good old buff with a wire brush and look for some exhaust manifold paint, plenty about to choose from. frost.co.uk would be 1st on my places to look got all kinds of gear :)
