engine wont start

new recon engine fitted
spark and fuel ok

any ideas

blocked carb?

The problem could be timing related, get both lobes on the cam over No1 pointing up, line up the dot on the flywheel with the pointer, check the dot on the camwheel is lined up with the cylinder head flange and the notch in the rim of the distributor is lined up with the centre of the rotor arm.
