Hi Scottg, the hole for the 3mm allen key on the metering head (air filter) adjusts the air/fuel mixture, turn it anticlockwise to lower the fuel but do not do it with the engine running as it may damage the head.
The idle adjustment screw is on the rear of the throttle body (thats the part where the accelerator cable attaches), feel round the back and you'll find a 7mm bolt. Get the engine hot then try adjusting the idle screw, turn it in to increase the revs or vice versa, if that fails to bring it down then it maybe the auxillary air valve (this is situated at the rear left hand side of the inlet manifold) at fault.  To check if it is the AAV look to the left of the inlet manifold and you should see a rubber hose that goes that goes round to the rear of the manifold, squeeze it with some pliers…..if the revs drop then look at getting a replacement AAV.

The idle will always be slightly high when you start the engine cold. My cab does this (it's not THAT high, around 1250rpm) then drops after about a minute to around the 1k mark.
