Engine code check?

Hello, i'm about to embark on an engine swap on my cabby and i'm unsure what engine i've got. it's a 1.8 16v and the code on the block is 027 103 021. I think it's a KR but can't be sure, is KR stamped on it somewhere. Sorry if it's a stupid question, although i'm confident changing the engine i haven't got a scooby about the codes.

Yes, its stamped on (well, etched) in front of the engine number location. You've given the part number, not the engine number. Search on previous threads should reveal info/pics.
