diesel water pump

hi does anyone know if you can fit a diesel water on a mk1 1.8v gti 1983 as i bought 1 of ebay not knowing it was for a diesel .i was told it was for 1.8 8v cheers .if anyone has a pulley to fit this it would be a great help cheers .

if it looks same shape as yours then yes it will fit, big block mk1/2/3 pumps all the same
