cutting out

hi guys,
im after a bit of help, baiscally my mk1 cabby keeps cutting out,
it starts up again and runs but when the revs drop below 1000 rpm it cuts out.
i have adjusted the idle control valve and it wa fine for 2 days but has happened again today
any help would be appreciated

is it carb or injection

i had this trouble with mine and after i clean the fuel system , filter change and blew out the swirl pot and lines it never did it again

i also just tweaked the idle a bit higher

my a carb but hth

its injection, replaced the fuel pump, accumulator, plugs and leads and the dizzie is new. it is ideling approx 1300 at the moment but every now and then cuts out as i am slowing and at idle. kind of scratching my head now

Sounds like it's running to lean..pop it to a mot garage to have the co tested.

yea going to get the lads in work to have a look tomorrow, untill then found a couple of splits in the vacum hoses so replacing them tonight, cannot help the problem i guess

quick update had the lads at work look at the co. you was right andy running far too rich, the next problem is the adjuster is siezed solid. looks like im going to have to find a new housing etc to get it sorted Not happy

Have a look for posts on the 5th injector and warm up system!!
