cutting out after starting

when cold the car is starting up (great) but then after 2 or 3 seconds cuts out. no matter how many revs i put on, sumtimes dying when i put the revs on.
The car starts again and sumtimes does the same or stays running. upto 5 minutes into the drive the car seems to hold back…doesnt accelerate at the rate it shud and sumtimes judders on aceleration (almost like theres a prob with fuel flow but i had a whole new fuel system installed about 2 yrs ago from filler neck to injectors). When it is warm it runs pefectly.
ive noticed on start up and for afew mins after it seems to omit quite abit of smoke from the exhaust. i know it has been cold and it is an old car so i dont expect it to be smoke free just wondered if that was a symptom of a problem that could be attributing to the above. ive just put sum wynn's fuel system and injector cleaner into the tank.
