converting from injection to carbs

just wondering what was involved with the conversion really.  i have a pair of 40 or 45 webers, cant remember which to be honest, but i don't really know what else i would need for the swap really.  i would need a manifold obviously which i would get 2nd hand, but where would i get the correct jets for the carbs from?  and how do i know which size i will need?  also will the fuel pump need swaping or the accumulator changing etc.  finally will there need to be any electrical changes.

cheers for any help

Jets available from Webcon (main dealers for weber products).
Im sure theyd advise on sizes for a starting point.
Only way to determine what your particular engine needs is a dyno session.
Original injection pump and accumulator systems way too powerful, you need around 4 to 6 psi iirc to run 40's rather than the 60 or so psi youll get from the injection pump.
There is however a regulator you can likely get from webcon that will allow you to retain the injection pump whilst running the webers, that way you avoid any electrical changes.

cheers for the advise, it turnes out i have twin 40's so i phoned them up and they gave me sizes for twin 40's on the 1600 engine as this was the only info they had.  they recomend 45's for the 1800 engine but said that the 40's would be fine but would not produce the power of the 45's but obviously would be slightly better on fuel.  so i have the following sizes as a starting point but is there anyone on here running 40's on an 1800 who is able to share their jet sizes with me?  i have never dealt with carbs before so any help will be usefull, im sure.  thanks again

Closest i can find is based on an 1800 cc alfetta.

32mm chokes.
4.5 aux venturi
main jet 135.
idle jet- 0.55 f17
emulsion tube f34
air corrector 2.10
starter jet 0.85 f9
accelerator pump jet 0.35
accelerator pump back bleed 0.60
needle valve 1.50

all for an 1800 alfetta tho and may be closer but definitely time for some dyno time to get them set up.
