Change to injection?
Hi
I have a 1990 Clipper Automatic with a 1800 normally aspirated engine. If I got hold of a 1800 GTI manual can I swap the engine or if not can I swap the head, manifold etc. to make my car injection.

its quite abit of hassle :cry:
you need the gti fuel sender-pump-fuel lines-air box mounts and other bits to.
if you want more power use a gti cam and exhaust manifold &weber carb that should sort you out :wink:

Have to agree with andunp on this 1 m8 , lots of hassle trying to convert over to injection , there are lots of pitfalls even with two cars next to each other and just changing the bits over . The auto box (sludge box) will be killing any kind of punch to your golfs powerband though , maybe try a manual box to
