Car won't tick over :(

Could someone give me an idea please,

I have just serviced my 89 hit cabrio and now she won't tick over I've done the following,

New fuel filter
Oil filter
Air filter
New oil
New plugs (leads put back correctly)
And while I was at it I've replaced a leaking rocker gasket

It took a while for the car to start but when it did she wouldn't tick over on her own as soon as I took my foot of the pedal she cut out HELP ME

Regards Adam

try winding out the idle screw, maybe you fixed an air leak during all that? does the car rev up ok and run smooth with throttle?

Im guessing youve already sorted this.
Is it possible to put the fuel  filter in the wrong way round?

No the filter has an arrow and has 2 different size fixings each end

Well, thats me beat then. LOL
Was only guessing from changing fuel filters on our ride on lawnmowers, sometime they run rough for ages with a new filter. have had probs with one i fitted the wrong way round :) and yes there was an arrow.

Good luck man, sounds a frustrating one.

Idle adjustment screw o ring?

Just changed mine for new and it sorted an idling issue.

Sorry for jumpin in on your post but some times my idle is rubbish could this be the o ring on the tick over screw? If so can you get them from main dealers?

Definitely!

Take out your screw and pop to your local car spares place. Just a standard o ring will do.

Sorted my problem!

Good luck!
