car dont go

i have just rebuilt my engine to the best i can and it turns over fine but just wont fire up . theres a strong spark , plent of fuel getting in there and theres compression so why the heck is it not going can any one help or got any ideas :cry:  :cry:

please help

I'd double and triple check cam timing, compression and ingition timing.  It is possible to get ignition timing 180 degs out  8O

I am having ecactly the same problem! Timing is good though! But know firing- any ideas?

If you have fuel and a strong spark then the only thing that can be is in theory the timing.

Dont get caught our by the dots on the cam pully as some have a mark which is 180 degrees out.

 I suggest a comeplete timing check. Make sure the enignes on TDC, the disi rotor arm is lined up with the disi mark, and the cam is on the correct dot.

We spent a few hours after fitting a vernier pulley towing a car up and down the road and it wouldn;t start then realised it had two dots - one of which was 180 degrees out - guess which one we had timed up on  :banghead:
