cam shaft torque settings

Hi, I own a 1986 Golf Karmann GTi. The engine is in need of a new set of hydraulic lifters, my problem is that I dont know the tightening torques for the cam shaft when I refit it. Can anyone help????????????????????

Strangely, its ridiculously low - 14lbf.ft (20Nm). Don't do what I read that someone else did on a forum, and thought they were 40 lbf.ft!!! He snapped one, and reported back that they snap at 45!
