aftermarket cam

hi there have bought a 290 degree cam... would anyone recomend what sorter revs this works best with and how do i set the rev limiter on these engines

290 is a revvy cam up to 8500

after checkin website it said differant ... whats the bottom end gd for without makin major mods... how do i set the rev limiter on this engine??
