Advice / Help on 2.0 blocks to fit mk1 1.8 DX engine...2.1??

I am sure this has been answered before and i apologise in advance for the trip down memory lane!

I have a Mk1 Campaign which has a C pack head and fast cam and 4 -2 -1 manifold etc.
The car is for all intents and purposes a std car to view and i dont want to change this.

Looking at doing the bottom end and wanted advice as to what 2.0 bottom end i need if i was to source a 2.0 block???

My intention is to take it out to 2.1 and then i figure the engine will the best it can be without changing it from its original set up/type etc…

The other idea of course is to have the current bottom end redone???

If anyone has had one done or knows what a 2.1 is like i would like to hear???

Your thoughts and knowledge would be greatly appreciated on this!!!

MK3 2.0 8v 2e, ady, agg, or audi 6a, akk etc. pretty much any 2.0 8v will fit. the MK3 2.0 8v and audi akk are tall blokcs, which can casue issues with aftermarket 4 branches. if you stick to the oem system it will bolt in fine.  wont be any bonnet clearance issues, this tends to be the case on the 16v abf if you fit k-jet.

if you run the 2.0 8v on carbs or k-jet you need a dizzy adaptor ring from TSR, swap the 2.0 dizzy gear to the old dizzy and drop it in.
