A few electrical and fuelling issues with my 2.0 tall block

Hi i've got a 2.0 tall block fitted in my gti, (audi 80 bottom end dx head) just going through my engine bay and there are a few things that are abit screwey.  Firstly i can find any of the wiring that goes to the thermoswitch, its a three pin thermoswitch and i don't know if the plug has ever been there. I've traced all the wiring back from the fan and checked all the bay and i can't see anything.  Theres a pic below to illustrate.

Secondly i nothing on the mfa works, again can't find any stray wires and i've got a sensor on the block with no wires to it.  If i had a wiring diagram or just knew what colour wires did what i could probably sort that one out, thing is theres a lot of splicing and dicing in this bay which i'm unsure of i don't know if this was done in order to run the 2l bottom end but i don't make sense to me.  Again pic below of the lone sensor.

Lastly i have this take of which two of the fuel lines run to and its just stuffed in the bay, not screwed to anything, it also has wiring plugged into it (green plug).  I don't know what it is or if i need it.  I've included pics below of it and then where the two fuel lines connect to the metering head.

The fuel line that comes from the take-off is the one on the back of the metering head with the curved end fitting.

Thanks
Greg

1. the fan wiring can be unplugged from the bay loom, there should be a 2 pin plug near the battery with a red and brown wire.  the thermoswitch plug should be halfway betweeen the fan plug and the 2 pin plug above, if you dont have the fan or thermoswitch wiring then find or make one.

2. did the car have the mfa from the factory? if so there should be a green/black wire for oil temp and a red/white wire for outside temp.

3. WUR, its needed but you need to get the wur bolted to the block if you can, otherwise it wont be working quite right

Thanks for your help rub jonny i've had a look in the bay and i definetly have no thermoswitch to fan wiring.  It seems that the fan is powered directly off the battery the brown wire connects directly too the + on the battery and the red wire goes back into the loom.  A diagram of how it should be would help me greatly.

On the MFA front i think it might to frozen as the tme reads 0:00 also i'm gonna try changing the fuse and see if that resets it.

And the wur, dunno where the hell i'm gonna bolt that there is nowhere for it?  Where would it be originally?

I'm also suffering from terrible battery drain, its flat in literally two days.  I've got a sigma alarm on the car think that may be draining a fair bit.

Thanks
Greg

get yourself don the scrappy on the hunt for mk2 golfs, nick the wiring, fan and thermoswitch off it.  basically you have a fused live & earth, the earth runs direct to fan. the live runs to the thermoswitch, then you have 1 or 2 wires from this to the fan. 1 wire if single speed, 2 wires if 2 speed.  dead easy to make a loom if you dont have one.   it cant be wired to the battery direct otherwise the fan would never switch off!

wur would have been mounted to the fuel pump blanking plate on the 1.8 block, which isnt there on the 2.0. there are a few threaded holes on the block, shouldnt be too hard to make up a flat plate held into one of these holes then screw wur to that
