2 litre tall block advice

this works well in the mk2, same kinda setup goin in the mk1, AGG block , DX head n k-jet on a mk2 gti box, now , cam advice , should i gi it a mild road cam ? and manifold/front pipe suggestions ? please

hi mate depends really on if you like the pull and drive of a 8v . if so go for a 4,2,1 super sprint manifold bigger throttle body and if you do go for a cam then head work is recommended to get the full potential and power gains out of it. they do go well because i have just removed a 1.8 dx engine out of my mk1 with a big port head 4,2,1 manifold and a larger throttle body and it was a quick car and really fun to drive. but i will say if you are going to chuck money at it then you could go for the 16v kr engine which starts at 139bhp standed. but it all depends on what you want .
