1.8 GTI Cabrio, Running pants when warm..

Hi,

My GTI runs awfully, almost undrivable when warm. strangley it drives fine for around the first mile(ish) then its starts juddering not like its miss firing (firing on all 4) but its not like firing properly after around 30x revs and struggles  to pass 40mph. The engine also stalls when approaching a junction.

i've replaced the cap, rotor arm, leads, fuel filter. was advised to change the fuse box which i thought was orginially causing the trouble as the the connection had 'broken' down.. i've thought about engine timing but i havent interferred with the dizzy and doesnt add up with the cool temp running..

I'm baffled so any suggestions welcome!

Auxiliary air valve does not open Check valve for correct function
Cold start valve leaking Check cold start valve
"Cold" control pressure outside tolerance Test pressure
Injector leaking, opening pressure low Check injectors on tester
Injected fuel quantities unequal Check for equal fuel quantities
Basic idle setting incorrect Check and adjust CO level
Lambda control system not functioning correctly Check Lambda control system
