worn cam bearings
I have an '89 clipper with 1800 carb engine. The cam bearings are worn and the oil light starts flashing after warm up. Are heads from early MK2 1800 engines compatible and does it matter if the head was off injection model?
Please help :dontknow:

dead easy to do as head is alu, match angle/size of hole with your old head, drill till you hit the coolant chanel
If you have a webber this step is not required, just need to block off the coolant hose coming off the metal pipe round engine.
last thing is you meed to block the injector holes, either leave the injectors in or unwind the inserts and drop a penny down each hole.
edit: earlier heads will have solid lifters which isnt an issue except you need to make sure you get the right solid lifter cam to match. also early k-jet inj heads have an air feed where you need to coolant channel to be, so would be no good to you.
