Which Oil Swich to Change
Hi, I understand that I may need to look at a number of options due to my oil light buzzing and of them is to replace the switch. However, there are 4 switches to choose from on Eurocarparts. Which one do I choose?
Black;
Brown;
Blue; or
White.
Let me know if somebody can help.
Thanks

I seen your post on your buzzer problem, happens allot and not always because the oil pressure is incorrect. The Buzzer when working correctly comes on when the engine is doing 2000rpm or greater and the oil light will also flash…That's what it says in my owners manual anyway.
The buzzer has a habbit of going off when the electrics get tired and connections are dirty and corroded. The best place to start is to clean all the oil sensor connectors and earth strap connections. there is one from the battery to the top of the gearbox and another from the rocker cover to the bulkhead ( where your ignition coil is). there is also a brown/white wire that should be connected to the rocker cover where the eath strap is, this earths the dash and is sometime broken/not connected. This can cause the MFA, warning lights, gauges and Buzzer to do strange things.
Start here and then progress onto the more espensive stuff later, if all is well you will need to test the oil pressure with a gauge.
*** Disconnect your battery before cleaning any terminals ****
Hope this helps
