WHERE TO BUY PLASTIC BREATHER/VACUUM PIPE+rubber sleeves?

I'm sure someone can help me out quick with this request. So far I've been to GSF, Euro Car parts, searched ebay and been on a few other sites so I figured I'd try you fella's.

So yeah, as title says, I'm looking for the best place to get the white plastic pipe for vacuum unit to carb and the engine ventilation pipe etc. It's for my Mk1 Jetta with running issues so I wanna eliminate that as a cause, it looks to be all quite thin and the same gauge all round (3mm). Also need to replace rubber connecting sleeves which are cotton braided on the outside.

Heres a pic of the same tubing on someones else's car;

WHERE TO BUY ONLINE, OR AROUND CENTRAL BIRMINGHAM? - for cheap!

Cheers,

Kennedy.

AND yes Moderators this is the same post as in the small block section, but I'm getting no love there.

VW is the only place I've found which sells that kind of braided vac tube which is of decent quality. trouble is its bloody expensive!

Thanks for responses so far.

The braided hose should be okay to get hold of I suppose as long as I can find some with 3mm internal diameter. I will see what VW are selling it for anyway.

The real problem is this 3mm rigid white pipe/tube, I think it is gonna need to be plastic type and not rubber as it could very well collapse under vacuum/suction.

Any more thoughts on this?

and halfrauds still stock the braided stuff. i've got a role in the glove box.

That's why I wasn't sure, hence my question mark. If you're confident it works, thats good info because it will save a few pennies!

Well done Novocaine, thats exactly what I was after. Got 30metres coming from www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk cos they have cheaper shipping options.

Thanks all, case closed  :D
