Hi - I have a spare one I'm case mine goes. I Need to keep one spare, and may have a second one. If so then I'll let you know. I got my spare by buying a few 2e2 full carbs from eBay. You then build a nice little stock of spares. There is one on there at the moment. They come up quite a lot

Red Cab, rubjonny has a thread regarding refurbing the 2e2 carb which I went through this weekend as mine was being a right bu99er on start up. I found the main issue which was a pipe off the back of the carb, cheers rubjonny I've noticed that my waxstat is also faulty but in his thread he mentions this :
Waxstat, also known as 'Expansion Element':
Helps control the idle until the autochoke switches off completely. Is full of wax which is heated by coolant. As the wax expands a pin exends from the unit pressing a lever which brings the idle down. Check by throwing into a bowl of hot water, the pin should extend. This has been known to fix dodgy units as it 'resets' the wax apparently!
No confirmation it works (anyone??) but I hope to take it off this weekend and giving it a try, nothing ventured . . . . .
