what head ?

I own a mk1 I think 1500 golf. Is it possible to have a 1600 head on a 1500 block? also are the 1500 & 1600 manifold the same?

I've got the oppositre problem- a 1.6 Scirocco GT engine with a 1.5 head on it. The 1.5 inlet manifold is dfferent so I'm just waiting for a 1.6 rocco head to come through to fit my weber on to. The 1.6 inlet has an extra water duct on it that runs to the head, but you can (I'm told) get away without the heating.
