Weber fuel surge!

hi guys long time lurker first time poster….

i have a 1.6L golf which i have done a weber conversion on. its a 32/36 weber and it runs great. however when turning right and decellerating the engine want to stall unless you keep the revs up. this is due to the fuel surging away from the primary circut in the carb. its annoying……

heaps of people have put these webers on golfs so what did you guys do to stop this happening, bigger fuel pump? is there a special way to set the float level?

cheers

john

Have you got nice tight fuel clamps? might be sucking air in or something?  :dontknow:

Which model Weber? Maybe everyone else here is using a different model, which has different internals and doesn't surge like that.

Your right paul, on 1.6 & 1.8, main weber used is the weber 32/34dtml
